The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown
Pat the Bunny by Dorothy Kunhardt
If You Were My Bunny by Kate McMullan
I was really excited to make this Feed The Bunny game! Because Love Bug is still so young, I only included four pieces of food (celery, carrot, alfalfa, and lettuce). If she were older, I would include an assortment of fruits and vegetables. We would then be able to sort them. ;)
We did sponge painting of an Easter egg drawing!
She is very concerned about getting paint on her hands, as you can see. ;)
Dab. Dab. Dab.
I printed off a picture of a rabbit for her to color. Then I cut out some "grass" and a "carrot" for her to glue on to the picture as that is "what bunnies eat". It is important to remember PROCESS OVER PRODUCT! That means the process of doing the art project is more important than how the product turns out. Let them do as much of it as they can, however they want to do it. Only help when absolutely necessary. At 19 months old, she still needs quite a bit of help, but you would be amazed at what little children are capable of when given the opportunity to try!
Materials presented.
Finished product.
We practiced being bunny rabbits with our fabulous bunny ears! 🐰
This was a special art project Mommy did for Daddy that just so happened to utilize a certain little girls foot ;)
