A Color of His Own by Leo Lionni
Just in time for St. Patrick's Day...we are introducing the concept of colors. And it only makes sense to start with the color green!
Books we are focusing on this month include A Color of His Own by Leo Lionni and Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown and Clement Hurd.
Our discovery basket this month focuses on the color green. We are going to start learning to sort.
Example of being sorted by hard and soft.
Example of being sorted by dark green and light green.
**Anther possibility would be to sort by large and small.**
We made green water to play in!
And we colored a St. Party's Day inspired Mickey Mouse with different shades of green markers.
I do believe she is left handed like her daddy! She always chooses to use her left hand. :)
And she is ready to rock St. Patrick's Day!
