Easy Indoor Water Play

I don't know what it is about toddlers- or at least my toddler- but you can FORGET the flashy, noisy, expensive, battery operated toys. They tend to have a preference for natural, open ended, creativity driven toys. And if it involves water, even better.

A lot of parents are familiar with water tables, but trust me you don't need one. Especially if you have a very young toddler (under 18 months). We put a towel down on the kitchen floor along with a baking sheet, added a cup of water, and threw in two matchbox cars for good measure. Love Bug was thoroughly entertained for a half an hour!

We've done this activity with a small tub of water as well.

And bonus points if you do this on a day you want to mop. ;)
